והוה כד יתיב מלכא בביתיה ויי אניח ליה מסחור סחור מכל בעלי דבבוהי:
dbbwhy bely mkl skhwr mskhwr lyh anykh wyy bbythyh mlka ythyb kd whwh
When the king lived in his house, and Yahweh had given him rest from all his enemies all around,

ואמר מלכא לנתן נביא חזי כען די אנא יתיב בביתא די מטלל בכיורי ארזיא וארונא דיי שרי במשכנא בגו יריעתא:
yryetha bgw bmshkna shry dyy warwna arzya bkywry mTll dy bbytha ythyb ana dy ken khzy nbya lnthn mlka wamr
the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”

ואמר נתן למלכא כל די בלבך אזיל עביד ארי מימרא דיי בסעדך:
bsedk dyy mymra ary ebyd azyl blbk dy kl lmlka nthn wamr
Nathan said to the king, “Go, do all that is in your heart, for Yahweh is with you.”

והוה בליליא ההוא והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי לות נתן למימר:
lmymr nthn lwth yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh hhwa blylya whwh
That same night, Yahweh’s word came to Nathan, saying,

אזיל ותימר לעבדי לדוד כדנן אמר יי האת תבני קדמי ביתא לאשראה שכנתי בה:
bh shknthy lashrah bytha qdmy thbny hath yy amr kdnn ldwd lebdy wthymr azyl
“Go and tell my servant David, ‘Yahweh says, “Should you build me a house for me to dwell in?

ארי לא אשריתי שכנתי בביתא מיומא די אסקית ית בני ישראל ממצרים ועד יומא הדין והויתי משרי שכנתי במשכנין וביריען:
wbyryen bmshknyn shknthy mshry whwythy hdyn ywma wed mmtsrym yshral bny yth asqyth dy mywma bbytha shknthy ashrythy la ary
For I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought the children of Israel up out of Egypt, even to this day, but have moved around in a tent and in a tabernacle.

בכל אתר די הלכית בכל בני ישראל הפתגם מללית עם חד שבטיא דישראל די פקדית לפרנסא ית עמי ית ישראל למימר למא לא בניתון קדמי ביתא די מטלל בכיורא ארזיא:
arzya bkywra mTll dy bytha qdmy bnythwn la lma lmymr yshral yth emy yth lprnsa pqdyth dy dyshral shbTya khd em mllyth hpthgm yshral bny bkl hlkyth dy athr bkl
In all places in which I have walked with all the children of Israel, did I say a word to anyone from the tribes of Israel whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people Israel, saying, ‘Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

וכען כדנן תימר לעבדי לדוד כדנן אמר יי צבאות אנא דברתך מן דירא מבתר ענא למהוי מלכא על עמי על ישראל:
yshral el emy el mlka lmhwy ena mbthr dyra mn dbrthk ana tsbawth yy amr kdnn ldwd lebdy thymr kdnn wken
Now therefore tell my servant David this: ‘Yahweh of Armies says, “I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people, over Israel.

והוה מימרי בסעדך בכל אתר די הלכתא ושיציתי ית כל בעלי דבבך מן קדמך ועבדית לך שום רב כשום רברביא די בארעא:
barea dy rbrbya kshwm rb shwm lk webdyth qdmk mn dbbk bely kl yth wshytsythy hlktha dy athr bkl bsedk mymry whwh
I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.

ואשוי אתר מתקן לעמי ישראל ואקימנון וישרון באתרהון ולא יזועון עוד ולא יוספון בני רשעא לעניותהון כדבקדמיתא:
kdbqdmytha lenywthhwn rshea bny ywspwn wla ewd yzwewn wla bathrhwn wyshrwn waqymnwn yshral lemy mthqn athr washwy
I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place and be moved no more. The children of wickedness will not afflict them any more, as at the first,

ולמן יומא די פקדית נגידין על עמי ישראל ואנחית לך מכל בעלי דבבך וחוי לך יי ארי בית מלכו יקיים לך יי:
yy lk yqyym mlkw byth ary yy lk wkhwy dbbk bely mkl lk wankhyth yshral emy el ngydyn pqdyth dy ywma wlmn
and as from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. Moreover Yahweh tells you that Yahweh will make you a house.

ארי ישלימון יומך ותשכוב עם אבהתך ואקים ית ברך בתרך די תוליד ואתקן ית מלכותיה:
mlkwthyh yth wathqn thwlyd dy bthrk brk yth waqym abhthk em wthshkwb ywmk yshlymwn ary
When your days are fulfilled and you sleep with your fathers, I will set up your offspring after you, who will proceed out of your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

הוא יבני ביתא לשמי ואתקין ית כורסי מלכותיה עד עלמא:
elma ed mlkwthyh kwrsy yth wathqyn lshmy bytha ybny hwa
He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
14
אנא אהי ליה כאב והוא יהי לי דמי כבר דאם יסרח ואלקיניה במלקות גברין ובמרדות בני אנשא:
ansha bny wbmrdwth gbryn bmlqwth walqynyh ysrkh dam kbr dmy ly yhy whwa kab lyh ahy ana
I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men;

וטובי לא יעדי מניה כמא דאעדיתי מן שאול די אעדיתי מן קדמך:
qdmk mn aedythy dy shawl mn daedythy kma mnyh yedy la wTwby
but my loving kindness will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.
16
וקיים ביתך ומלכותך עד עלמא קדמך כורסי מלכותך יהי מתקן עד עלמא:
elma ed mthqn yhy mlkwthk kwrsy qdmk elma ed wmlkwthk bythk wqyym
Your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you. Your throne will be established forever.”’”

ככל פתגמיא האלין וככל נבואתא הדא כדין מליל נתן עם דוד:
dwd em nthn mlyl kdyn hda nbwatha wkkl halyn pthgmya kkl
Nathan spoke to David all these words, and according to all this vision.

ואתא מלכא דוד ויתיב קדם יי ואמר ליה אנא כמסת יי אלהים ומן ביתי ארי אמטתני עד הלכא:
hlka ed amTthny ary bythy wmn alhym yy kmsth ana lyh wamr yy qdm wythyb dwd mlka watha
Then David the king went in and sat before Yahweh; and he said, “Who am I, Lord Yahweh, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

וזעירת עוד דא קדמך יי אלהים ומללתא אף על בית עבדך לעלמא דאתי ודא חזיא לבני אנשא יי אלהים:
alhym yy ansha lbny khzya wda dathy lelma ebdk byth el ap wmlltha alhym yy qdmk da ewd wzeyrth
This was yet a small thing in your eyes, Lord Yahweh, but you have spoken also of your servant’s house for a great while to come; and this among men, Lord Yahweh!
20
ומה יוסיף דוד עוד למללא קדמך ואת עבדת בעות עבדך יי אלהים:
alhym yy ebdk bewth ebdth wath qdmk lmlla ewd dwd ywsyp wmh
What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Lord Yahweh.
21
בדיל מימרך וכלבך עבדת ית כל רברבתא הדא להודעא ית עבדך:
ebdk yth lhwdea hda rbrbtha kl yth ebdth wklbk mymrk bdyl
For your word’s sake, and according to your own heart, you have worked all this greatness, to make your servant know it.
22
על כן רב את יי אלהים ארי לית דכותך ולית אלהא בר מנך ככל די שמענא אמרין קדמנא:
qdmna amryn shmena dy kkl mnk br alha wlyth dkwthk lyth ary alhym yy ath rb kn el
Therefore you are great, Yahweh God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
23
ומן כעמך כישראל עמא חד בחיר בארעא דאזלו שלוחין מן קדם יי למפרק ליה לעם ולשואה ליה שום ולמעבד לכון רברבן וחסינן עד די עלו לארע בית שכנתך דיהבת להון מן קדם עמך די פרקתא לך ממצרים גוים ואלהיו:
walhyw gwym mmtsrym lk prqtha dy emk qdm mn lhwn dyhbth shknthk byth lare elw dy ed wkhsynn rbrbn lkwn wlmebd shwm lyh wlshwah lem lyh lmprq yy qdm mn shlwkhyn dazlw barea bkhyr khd ema kyshral kemk wmn
What one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem to himself for a people, and to make himself a name, and to do great things for you, and awesome things for your land, before your people, whom you redeemed to yourself out of Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
24
ואתקינתא לך ית עמך ישראל קדמך לעם עד עלמא ואת יי הויתא להון לאלהא:
lalha lhwn hwytha yy wath elma ed lem qdmk yshral emk yth lk wathqyntha
You established for yourself your people Israel to be your people forever; and you, Yahweh, became their God.
25
וכען יי אלהים פתגמא די מללתא על עבדך ועל אנש ביתיה אקים עד עלמא ועביד כמא די מללתא:
mlltha dy kma webyd elma ed aqym bythyh ansh wel ebdk el mlltha dy pthgma alhym yy wken
“Now, Yahweh God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, confirm it forever, and do as you have spoken.

ויסגי שמך עד עלמא למימר יי צבאות אלהים על ישראל ובית עבדך דוד יהי מתקן קדמך:
qdmk mthqn yhy dwd ebdk wbyth yshral el alhym tsbawth yy lmymr elma ed shmk wysgy
Let your name be magnified forever, saying, ‘Yahweh of Armies is God over Israel; and the house of your servant David will be established before you.’
27
ארי את יי צבאות אלהא דישראל חויתא לעבדך למימר מלכו אקים לך על כן הות בלבא דעבדך לצלאה קדמך ית צלותא הדין:
hdyn tslwtha yth qdmk ltslah debdk blba hwth kn el lk aqym mlkw lmymr lebdk khwytha dyshral alha tsbawth yy ath ary
For you, Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.
28
וכען יי אלהים את הוא יי ופתגמך אינון קשוט ומללתא על עבדך ית טבתא הדא:
hda Tbtha yth ebdk el wmlltha qshwT aynwn wpthgmk yy hwa ath alhym yy wken
“Now, O Lord Yahweh, you are God, and your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.
29
וכען שרי ובריך ית בית עבדך למהוי לעלמא קדמך ארי את יי אלהים מללתא ומברכתך יתברכון בתי עבדך צדיקיא לעלם:
lelm tsdyqya ebdk bthy ythbrkwn wmbrkthk mlltha alhym yy ath ary qdmk lelma lmhwy ebdk byth yth wbryk shry wken
Now therefore, let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, Lord Yahweh, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing.”
